The Lambayeque also produced remarkable gold objects. These well-preserved gold discs, which may have been worn on clothing, represent authoritative figures wearing elaborate crowns, ear spools, and checkered ponchos. Flanking them and hanging from their bodies are a number of objects that may be silver or copper or gold bells. Both figures hold tumi (semi-circular knives), and hanging from the knives are little pendants.
